The Juvenile Court facility is in a wing attached to Juvenile Hall. It is a two-story structure constructed in 1963 that also houses Probation, District Attorney, Public Defender satellite offices and other related agencies.

The Sacramento County Probation Department is responsible for the operation of Juvenile Hall. The Probation Department's Juvenile Court Services Division is responsible for the investigation and preparation of pre-disposition social history reports for the Juvenile Court as well as the processing of juvenile offenders booked into the Juvenile Hall and/or issued citations by law enforcement agencies.
