About Red Light Camera Citations

Citations issued by automated enforcement systems (red light cameras) are issued to the registered owner of the vehicle involved in the incident. The citations are issued by local law enforcement agencies and mailed to the address provided by DMV within 15 days of the incident. If you are the vehicle owner and were not driving at the time the citation was issued, contact the law enforcement agency who issued your citation (See section below If You Were Not the Driver.)

Date to Appear

When you receive your copy of the citation from the law enforcement agency, it will include a date to appear in court or to pay the bail (fine) amount due.

You must appear or resolve your case by the date on your citation. You have the option to appear in person or by video conference via Zoom ON OR BEFORE the due date. Arraignment hearings are held Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. or between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. To appear in person, report to the Carol Miller Justice Center Traffic Self-Service Kiosk in Room 100 to check in for court.
